History of E-Town

E-Town R C was proudly established in 2014 by Richard Worth, who reignited his passion for Radio control cars with the purchase of a Tamiya Grasshopper, just like he had in his youth. His nephew, David Worth Junior, quickly jumped on board, captivated by the thrill of R C racing. Initially, they created an oval track in the driveway but soon realized that the real excitement came from jumping the cars. This discovery fueled their creativity as they built various ramps from different materials until they finally perfected the setup with an old ATV plow they affectionately named the Grasshopper Hop.

Over the next three years, the league enjoyed substantial growth. While financial challenges temporarily halted the league in 2017 and 2018, we bounced back stronger in 2019. Although the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the world, E-Town R C returned with renewed energy in 2023. In 2024 we launched dirt drag racing and split the league into two conferences: the Hornet Conference and the Grasshopper Conference. Then in 2025 we introduced dirt oval racing into our exciting lineup, enhancing the competitive spirit and fun that E-Town R C is known for!
